Zara Phillips dresses down in shorts as she takes a stroll in the sunshine in Oz (but she DOES have a designer handbag, of course)

She has been spotted out and about in her racing day finest of late as she took part in a shoot for an Australian horse racing event.
But yesterday, Zara Philips allowed herself a spot of down time, swapping the tailored dresses of her last public appearance for a pair of shorts and fine knit sweater for a relaxed stroll in the sunshine and a coffee with friends.
Zara joined a small group of friends at La Petit Creme in Darlinghurst, Sydney – a cafe owned by
one of Zara's acquaintances.

The Queen's granddaughter, who works
to support herself and does not receive any funding from the public
purse, had last week been working on a fashion shoot for the Magic
Millions racing event, set to take place in Queensland on Australia's
Gold Coast in January next year.
It is thought the photographs of
Zara, dressed in race day finery and statement hats, will form part of
the programme issued by the organisers of Magic Millions ahead of the
On this occasion though, there were
no sequins or fascinators – just that laidback loose sweater, the
sleeves rolled up, flip flops and shades.
But for all her dressed down style,
there was one thing about Zara that stood out a mile: her arm candy – a
luxurious brown leather Miu Miu bag.
As all women know, we can be forgiven a thousand crumpled sweaters if we are carrying a to-die-for handbag.
And with that lovely Miu Miu tote
held out in front of her like a beautiful, buttersoft leather shield,
Zara could be wearing a bin bag and get away with it.
