You might think your horoscope is, at times, uncannily accurate about the 'real' you – but check the others.
Although we all like to think we're unique, the choice words for other stars can just as easily apply.
Some believe our star signs are governed by guiding forces, but the truth is we are all very much alike.

You might feel statements such as: 'You have a need for other people to like and admire you, and yet you tend to be critical of yourself' sums you up.
Or 'at times you are extroverted, affable and sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary and reserved.' But these statements could apply to anyone.
In a landmark study, psychologist Bertram Forer told his students they had been personally assessed, and handed them an 'individual analysis' to rate in terms of accuracy.

The majority marked the report as being 85 per cent correct and believed each report had been personally prepared for them.
There was, in fact, only one report and it was made up of lines collected from random horoscopes.
It seems that when we want something
to be true, our brain looks for patterns, ignoring anomalies and instead
focusing on the 'hits'.
