That obviously touched a nerve! Tulisa hits back at Gary Barlow's 'fag ash breath' comment by wearing a nicotine patch on The X Factor results show

She found herself at the centre of a personal attack after Gary Barlow accused her of having 'fag ash breath' on Saturday night's X Factor.
But Tulisa Contostavlos made sure she got the last laugh by poking fun at herself with a nicotine patch as she took to the stage for Sunday's results show.
The 24-year-old judge proved she didn't take her usually mild-mannered co-panellist's comments too seriously as she flashed the unsightly accessory as she made her entrance on to the stage.

Grinning cheekily at the camera, Tulisa pulled her standard 'Female Boss' pose, and made sure to flaunt her new addition to the viewers at home.
Aside from her less-than-attractive nicotine patch, the Young singer looked stunning in a Halloween-inspired prom-style dress with lace detail at the neckline.
Meanwhile, her co-judge Nicole Scherzinger made sure to flash the flesh in a daring asymmetric-hemmed strapless dress.
Ignoring the age-old rule of showing off just her cleavage or legs, the singer flaunted her perfect pins in the sexy number.
Happy families: The judges appeared to have kissed and made up by the time they appeared on Sunday night's results show
Naughty boy: Gary grinned the night after his stinging personal attack to Tulisa for which he was forced to apologise, and Nicole kept out of the spat and concentrated on looking elegant in a mullet ballgown
And host Dermot O'Leary made sure to poke fun at Gary and Tulisa's previous argument, saying: 'You're all looking and, more importantly, smelling absolutely beautiful.'
Gary and Tulisa came to blows on Saturday
night after Tulisa criticised Gary for the song he had chosen for his
act Christopher Maloney, saying to him: 'Gary, how many of these
eighties classics are you going to let him keep destroying'
The last laugh: Christopher Maloney survived despite Tulisa's stinging criticism
who had clearly been contemplating his response while Tulisa spoke,
then said: ''I don't know what's offended me more – what you said or
the fag ash breath!'
And Tulisa was as shocked as
everybody else by Gary's out-of-character comment, sitting there
open-mouthed as she took in what he had said.

But as Dermot O'Leary spoke to Christopher following the performance, Tulisa interrupted saying: 'Just a note for Gary – lay off the
red wine because I can really smell that as well.'
on ITV2's The Xtra Factor Barlow was asked if he had been drinking red
wine and he said he had 'a little sip' in his dressing room and went on
to apologise to his fellow judge.

The charmer has left the building! The attack was most out-of-character for the usually gentlemanly Gary

Tulisa told The Xtra
Factor that Barlow had once said he 'loved' the smell of cigarettes
because it reminded him of the days he used to smoke and Barlow agreed.
But when asked if she had accepted Gary's apology, Tulisa replied: 'No, not yet.'
Tulisa's jokey response came on
another night of controversy as contestant Jade Ellis was voted off The X
Factor after the judges chose to save Union J.
The 25-year-old single mum found
herself in the bottom two alongside the boyband after dividing opinion
among the judges on Saturday evening with her rendition of Sugababes'
Freak Like Me.

When asked by host Dermot O'Leary to
deliver her verdict, Tulisa said: 'This is easy for me, that's my girl

However Louis Walsh, Nicole

controversially opting to save Union J, despite their rendition of
Pink's F***in' Perfect being far from it.
Taxi! Jade partied her woes away on Sunday night after the results show at the Aura Club n Mayfair
In a move that some might say was
vengeful in the wake of Tulisa's criticism of his 'cheesy' act
Christopher Maloney, Gary told Jade: 'Jade, you're a phenomenal singer,
you're incredible. But sometimes I worry I want this for you more than
you do', before choosing to send her home.
But on Union J, the boyband he has
been quite critical of throughout the show's run he said: 'Guys, I have
been tough on you because I'm a band member myself. It's been good, but
it's not been exceptional.
'I can see the commitment, I can see the ambition in your eyes. I'm excited to see what's next from you.'

And Nicole agreed, saying: 'Union J,
through your performance, your work, you've proved yourself to me so I

Meanwhile the Take That star may be changing
his opinion of Rylan after his former bandmate Robbie Williams showed
his support for Rylan during last week's show and offered up his advice
during a masterclass in London on Wednesday.
And Rylan, who turned 24 this week,
was pleased with the tuition he received from Robbie – the hopeful took
to Twitter to express his delight following the session.
He wrote: 'Such an amazing birthday present @robbiewilliams thank you for everything you said. See you again Sunday x'
