'I could win X Factor': Chris Maloney believes he will be victorious as he reveals Simon Cowell is scared he will ruin the show

He has been booed almost every week since he appeared on the live shows.
But Christopher Maloney seriously believes that he can win the X Factor, despite Simon Cowell not wanting him to succeed.
The Liverpudlian singer, 34, has made it to the quarter finals of the show and thinks that his success is worrying Cowell.

If Chris wins the show then the X Factor impresario will automatically have to give him a record deal.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, he said: 'I go out week after week and all I get is bad comments, but it’s so close to the final now I could win.
'I’m working harder than any other contestant probably ever in the competition.'

Insiders of the show say that Simon and the producers are worried that if Chris wins, he will damage the credibilty of the show.
However, Maloney is defiant and is willing to fight for his place for all the people who have been voting for him.
He said when on This Morning: 'I deserve to be here. You know, I’m probably one of the hardest working contestants – you know, every day, day in, day out.

'I’m working so hard just to make myself better. And because I was a wild card, the public voted me in.
'I’m not doing it just for myself, I’m doing it for the public that voted me in.'
He added: 'Obviously if they didn’t want me there they wouldn’t be voting for me, so clearly they are picking up the phone and voting.'
