With her long blond hair softly pinned up and glowing skin that bore only the faintest traces of make-up, the 27-year-old Gwyneth Paltrow at the 1999 Golden Globe Awards was the very image of the fresh-faced Hollywood starlet.
Fast forward 13 years and little has changed. Her blond hair is still perfectly glossy, while her figure remains slim and toned. Even her skin is plump, glowing and unlined.
Incredible though her enduring resistance to ageing is, Paltrow isn't the only A-lister defying the ravages of time.

Former X Factor judge, Danni Minogue, looks better at 43 than she did at 31, while singer and actress Jennifer Lopez looks almost exactly as she did a decade ago.
Other A-listers who've barely changed
include No Doubt singer, Gwen Stefani, singer, Geri Halliwell, Britain's Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden and TV chef, Nigella Lawson.
So what's their secret In Gwyneth's case, her beauty regime is well documented, thanks to her GOOP.com website on which she posts tips on eating healthily and 'investing' in your skin and hair.
In an interview with US magazine, Self, she also revealed that she's a bit of a fitness freak and hits the gym at least five days a week:
'I do 45 minutes of cardio five days a week and 45 minutes of muscular structure work, because I like to eat,' she confessed.
'If I'm prepping for something or I've been eating a lot of pie, I do two hours a day, six days a week for two weeks.'

Minogue, on the other hand, puts her ever youthful appearance down to the creams and lotions she uses. Deborah Mitchell's Heaven Bee Venom mask, 73, is a favourite of hers and is reportedly also loved by the Duchess of Cambridge and Michelle Pfeiffer for its 'natural botox' effect.
Like Minogue, Amanda Holden seems to be
ageing backwards and looks in even better shape in her 40's than she did
in her 20's – and that's despite several pregnancies.
Unlike Paltrow, however, Holden has
confessed to maintaining her youthful appearance with the help of botox

One star who's not afraid of admitting how hard she works to maintain her incredible figure is Gwen Stefani, whose incredible flat stomach is just as taut now as it was 10 years ago.
Stefani has revealed that maintaining her figure is a 'daily struggle' and admits that she gives herself a hard time if she puts on weight.
‘I’d like to have no rules and eat what I want, but I’ve learned over the years that I’m so disappointed when I can’t wear the clothes I want to wear,' said the singer.
‘And if I let myself down, appear on stage when I’m not looking my best, it’s not fun for me. I just beat myself up about it.’
Former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, has also struggled with her weight and famously battled an eating disorder for many years.
But the last few years have seen her gain weight and achieve a slim, but healthy figure – and now Ginger Spice looks better than ever.
Although she no longer follows a restricted diet, she keeps her figure in check with a combination of sensible eating, including healthy snacks, and regular exercise.
