With 20m, Adele is richest young singer… an increase of 14m in just one year

She created one of the best-selling albums of all time and has spent the past year being showered with awards and glory.
And at the tender age of 23, superstar Adele has now seen her fortune swell to 20million – increasing by 14million in just 12 months.
The London-born singer has topped the
Sunday Times Rich List of young British musicians following the success
of her second album, 21, with its chart-topping tales of heartbreak and

She is not the only young female singer to make millions. Her former schoolmate Jessie J makes her way on to the list, limited to those aged 30 and under, for the first time with a fortune of 5million.
The 24-year-old went to the BRIT
School in Croydon with Adele and X Factor winner Leona Lewis, whose
fortune is valued at 12million.
J’s debut album, Who You Are, has sold nearly one million copies and
she is now the standout star of BBC talent show The Voice, on which she
is a coach.

Last April, Adele’s fortune was
estimated at 6million but that has more than trebled following the
success of 21, which has sold more than 20million copies worldwide.
Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, 22, has been named the richest young
British actor, with a fortune of 54million, up by 6million on a year
