Oprah Winfrey lives much of her life in the public eye but her partner of over 25 years, Stedman Graham is known for his reticence when it comes to media attention.
Which is why, in the wake of his astonishing appearance during the finale of her television show last year, it is surprising to see him once again by her side, this time on the cover of O Magazine's April issue.
The elusive Chicago businessman, 61, pictured with Ms Winfrey, 58, appears on the inside of a folded two-page cover in honour of the glossy's first ever food issue and at a time of reportedly dwindling sales.

Figures released by the Audit Bureau of Circulations in February showed that since their last report, compiled before the May airing of Oprah's finale, newsstand sales have dropped by 32 per cent.
A press statement indicates, however, that the choice to put Ms Winfrey's long-time live-in lover on the cover was driven by the theme of the issue.
The release reads: 'Cooking and eating is often done with the ones we love, and appropriately enough, the gatefold cover features Oprah, 58, alongside Stedman Graham.'
And continues: 'As Oprah says in this
month’s Here We Go column, “For me, there’s nothing better than
breaking bread with my nearest and dearest.”'

The television star and philanthropist explains its origins: 'It became the Love Sandwich because I first started making it just for Stedman.
I’ve only made it for a couple of other people, so if you’ve had me make the Love Sandwich for you, you have to be somebody I really care about.'
Mr Graham similarly gushes about his girlfriend's cooking saying: 'You’re a fantastic cook. You put a lot of love in the work you do, and it crosses over into the food you make.
'Anything she cooks I really enjoy eating, and I appreciate it very much.'
Ms Winfrey admits that she is an instinctive chef: 'I’m absolutely an improvisational cook – a makeshift cook. I don’t like looking at recipes, and even if I do use one, I will adjust it to whatever feels right to me.
'It’ll be based on what is here, and what is in the garden.'
Other recipes in the issue include scrambled eggs with herbs and cheese and Oprah's pomegranate martini.
The April special food issue of O Magazine will be available on newsstands on Tuesday, March 13.
