They're on their way to becoming bigger than The Beatles in America, and are arguably the most successful boyband in the UK at the moment.
But before One Direction became household names, the boys were just children with big dreams.
And in just revealed pictures of the boys from their childhood, the quintet look as cheeky as ever as they grin for the camera.
We'd recognise those smiles anywhere! Harry Styles and Zayn Malik are instantly recognisable in these adorable childhood snaps of One Direction
Before they were famous! Fancy dress was a popular concept among the boys, judging by these pictures of (left to right) Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan

British band come as the group were announced as being on their way to
eclipse even The Beatles' success Stateside, as their debut album Up All
Night is apparently on course to top the US Billboard charts –
something the Fab Five never managed to do during their careers.

According to The Sun, industry
experts are expecting the record to sell between 160,000 and 180,000
copies in the next week, meaning it would clinch the number one spot.
In addition, the boys are also set to become TV stars, after Nickelodeon signed up the group for a new project.

It is believed the band are set to follow in the footsteps of S Club 7 and The Monkees with a similar concept series.
