Karlie Kloss showed up at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show yesterday with bangs and a blunt bob – a sharp contrast from the mermaid-length locks the supermodel has become so well known for.
The surprise new hairstyle, reminiscent of Twenties' flapper girls, drew excitement backstage at last night's lingerie fashion show bonanza, as many reporters hoped she would walk the runway with her new do – leaving behind Victoria's Secret's penchant for big, blonde hair.
But to everyone's disappointment, the new look wasn't for the show. Instead, the 20-year-old revealed that Vogue requested the cut for a shoot just two days prior.

The model told Fashionista: '[The cut] was for a Vogue exclusive
story that I did, and we wanted to do something new, something sort of
drastic. And I love it!
'I think it’s fun to sort of shake
things up. I feel like a woman is very affected by her hair, and my
hair was so damaged and broken that it needed something.'
But just a few hours later, after countless hair extensions, her hair was once again
long and luscious, which Miss Kloss found amusing.

While Miss Kloss looked
breathtaking as she strutted her stuff at New York's Lexington
