'Everyone, meet Charlie!' TOWIE's Gemma Collins finally gets her prince as her new man surprises her in front of her friends

She's been the most unlucky in love member of the TOWIE cast who was rebuffed by the one man she had her heart set in in front of the cameras.

But TOWIE fans were left cheering at their TVs when Gemma Collins finally got her man – who gave Richard Gere a run for his money.

And they all concluded after weeks of speculation that he wasn't gay, especially after he passionately kissed Gemma in front of a club full of people.

Gemma joined her TOWIE friends and co-stars at a party to celebrate Mario's 24th birthday party on the last episode of the fourth series last night, which had an 'M' theme, so all the guests had to come as a character beginning with that letter.

As she sat with sisters Sam Faiers – who was dressed as Minnie Mouse – and Billie Faiers – who was dressed as Marge Simpson – she gushed about her new man, Charlie.

They asked if he was coming to the bash, and Gemma said: 'Yeah, but he's taking ages getting ready.'

Then her phone beeps as a text message comes through, and she dons her glasses to read it, but then looks crestfallen as she says: 'He's not coming, he said something's come up.'

Looking close to tears, Billie and Sam reassure her and tell her not to get upset and he's the one missing out.

Gemma said: 'But it's embarrassing though because i told people he was coming – I just don't have that much luck with men.'

As the night progressed, Gemma was left alone as people go off and dance and she spots various couple kissing and tried not to get upset.

But, at the end of the night, a man appears at the door to the club dressed as a Marine and walks towards Gemma and places a huge kiss on her lips.

This prompted Sam to giggle and say: 'Well, I'll tell you one thing, he's not gay.'

When she eventually came up for air, Gemma went red, giggled and declared: ''Meet Charlie!'

Also happening at the party was Joey Essex and Ricky Rayment shaking hands and agreeing to no hard feelings after their ruckus last week.

And Mario, who celebrated his birthday by buying himself an 80,000 Mercedes sports car, asked Lucy to move in with him, asking him to 'trust me and go with it'.
