They aren't the most enthusiastic fans of sport and they often choose a quick fix diet instead of working out to lose weight.
However, Cara Kilbey and Frankie Essex showed that they really don't have much interest in the Olympic Games as they completely missed the opening ceremony.
The two stars of The Only Way Is Essex avoided the busy crowds of people by heading to central London for a girls night out.
No sport please: Frankie Essex, left, and Cara Kilbey stepped out in London, last night, and missed the Olympic Opening Ceremony
The reality TV stars chose to dine together at Novikov restaurant, in Mayfair, and took advantage of the reduced traffic in the capital city.
Cara, 24, tweeted: 'If @FrankieEssex tells me one more time that the traffic in London is down 30% again in going to knock her out. #pointlessfacts'.
The girls, who are both currently single, dressed to impress on their night out with Frankie once again proving why she is the most stylish cast member on the show.
And they're off: Frankie and Cara chose to take advantage of the quiet London streets and dined at Novikov restaurant
Red hot: The TOWIE star looked amazing in her red bodycon dress which she accessorised with a Chanel handbag
She wore a tight red bodycon dress that showed off the results of her amazing weight loss and she teamed the outfit with a cream Chanel handbag.
Meanwhile, Cara played it safe with a pair of black leather look leggings and a white sleeveless peplum top which she wore with a pair of platform sandals.
The girls had clearly been looking forward to the girls only time and Cara said: 'Off to Novikov Mayfair for a date with @FrankieEssex #datenight.'
Working hard: Frankie enjoyed her night off after filming a lot of scenes lately for TOWIE
Frankie and Cara have been busy filming for the current season of TOWIE, so the night off without a camera crew in tow was well deserved.
The banter levels were turned up to the max though, and would have made good footage for the ITV2 show.
Cara complained that Frankie had been calling her names all night and reffered to her as the female lead from the Shrek movies.
She said: 'If @FrankieEssex calls me princess Fiona ONE MORE TIME #iamnotgreen #iamaprincess'.
Lights, camera, action: Cara, Billi Mucklow and Frankie lead the way as the girls head out for more filming, earlier this month, in Essex
