'Mission impossible': TOWIE's Arg reveals he's tipping the scales at 18st just SEVEN weeks before he runs Marathon

He's got just over seven weeks to go before he'll attempt to run the London Marathon.

But reality star James 'Arg' Argent has revealed he's tipping the scales at 18st (252lbs), meaning he's got a lot of weight to lose in the next two months.

The Only Way Is Essex star, 23, has struggled with his waistline over the past four series of the ITV2 show.

And despite dropping down to 16st
4lbs (228lbs) last October, the 6ft 2 singer piled on the pounds over Christmas and
during his recent split from on/off girlfriend Lydia Bright.

He revealed on his Twitter page on Thursday he weighs just over 18st – which gives him a BMI (body mass index) reading of 32.4, meaning he is classed as obese.

Despite his paunch, Arg is optimistic of shifting the pounds and completing the 26 mile challenge next month to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

He wrote on Twitter today: 'Wish I could tell you guys how much
weight iv already lost in just 3 days! Joey Balboa would b proud of my
boxing sesh I just did #Hayemaker.'

Arg admitted he actually missed a 7am training session on Friday morning after going out partying the night before until 4.30am.

But he insisted he didn't drink and stuck to water all night.

He tweeted: 'Thinking how many Burpies I'm gona be
given 4 missing this mornings sessions! I got in at 430am and they
wanted me to start at 7am #NoChance.

'Don't worry guys I am doing an extra run
and boxing class to make up for missing classes this morning!
#StillBelieve #LondonMarathon2012.'

On Thursday, he addressed his current
weight and admitted it was somewhat of a 'mission impossible' to get
fit in time for the Marathon on April 22.

He said: 'Just over 18 stone n 7 weeks till The
London Marathon, Only 2 days of training: Mission Impossible! Anything
Can Happen #Essex #WeBelieveArg.'

After completing the fourth series of TOWIE, Arg officially started his Marathon training on Monday.

He tweeted on Tuesday: 'Death of Large Arg n The Tubby Crooner! Lol. Isn't a single person who
believes I'll complete the LDN Marathon but I'll prove everyone wrong!'

Running coaches usually recommend people to run regularly for at least a year before taking part in a marathon.

Adidas training expert Keith Anderson told the Daily Star: 'It’s a gruelling event that requires good endurance.

'People
try to cram in the training or they set off thinking they can run the
whole thing and they end up facing a really horrible 10-mile walk at the
end.

'If he’s not trained then everything is going to chafe, everything is going to ache and he’s going to have a miserable day.'
