When they first got together earlier this year they quickly became two of the most smitten stars on TOWIE.
But now it seems things are already over for Jessica Wright and boyfriend Ricky Rayment.
The pair seemed to agree their relationship wasn't working on Wednesday night's The Only Way Is Essex when they confronted each other and realised they both want 'different things'.
All over Jessica Wright bursts into tears on TOWIE as her and boyfriend Ricky Rayment agree they both want different things from the relationship
Relationship off Ricky admitted he wasn't ready to dedicate all of his time to Jessica and that he wasn't having any fun with her
Jessica had been having a rare night out with her female pals, including Sam and Billie Faiers, when Ricky came to join her in the bar at the end of their evening.
Left alone together an upset Jessica then asked Ricky: 'Haven't you been thinking about me and you and all that s**t last night'
She then raised her voice and spelt out to him: 'I am upset,' after arguing that he's been moaning about not seeing his male pal Little Chris enough, despite not trying to spend more time with her.'
Opening up: Jessica revealed she was upset that he didn't prioritise spending time with her, while Ricky said he wasn't ready to commit himself every night of the week
Home alone: As Jessica ran to the toilet in tears telling him there was 'nothing else to say', Rayment left the restaurant with his head down
Ricky then openly stated to a then teary Jessica: 'I think we're in different places. I wanted a relationship, but I didn't want this relationship.
'I thought I was ready but I'm not mentally ready to be there all the time. I don't think I'm ready for that.'
Jess then protested that she wanted to have a fun relationship, to which Rayment argued: 'We're not having fun'.
Getting upset: Jessica Wright had a heart-to-heart with Lucy Mecklenburgh earlier in the day and admitted she was upset that she didn't seem to be Ricky's priority over his guy pals
Letting it out: Jessica insisted that she wanted to have fun with Ricky but they soon realised that they wanted 'different things'
Having the final word, Wright then told her partner before running to the toilets in tears: 'There's not much more to say. We want different things. Your idea of a relationship is different to mine.'
The cracks had started to appear earlier in the episode when she shed a tear and revealed: 'It's weird… on a Saturday night he chooses to go out with his mates when we've got nothing to do.
'At the beginning we were talking about marriage etc… I don't want to get hurt.'
Tears all round: Joey Essex also showed off his emotional side on Wednesday night's episode as he cried about his continuous arguments with girlfriend Sam
Being comforted: Joey was having a lads' night in when he got upset and revealed he keeps on clashing with Sam
Letting his guard down: Earlier in the show Joey revealed he wanted to marry Sam in the next eight months but suggested throughout they bicker
Jessica later had a heart-to-heart while getting ready with sisters Sam and Billie.
She told them: 'I'm glad we're going out tonight, I could do with a night out.'
And when the girls asked how Ricky was, she replied: 'Not the best, he's really lovely and stuff but he's always, always around Little Chris'. If he sees me it's always a last minute thing.'
But she wasn't the only TOWIE star to breakdown in tears on Wednesday night's show.
Joey Essex also cried at his guy pals when he started to open up about the amount he'd been arguing with girlfriend Sam.
Giving advice: Meanwhile, Mario Falcone's mother gave him advice and told him he needed to treat Lucy Mecklenburgh better
Earlier in the day, Joey explained to Arg how they always get 'the hump' with each other, explaining: 'She gets the hump so I get the hump… she always gets the hump first.
Arg replied: 'What you're trying to say is Sam's quite controlling,' before asking him what the next step was.
Joey then revealed that he was planning to marry her 'between now and the next eight months'.
…And his mother's words seemed to do the trick as he turned up unannounced to the girls' meal to whisk Lucy off for a surprise
Big smile: Lucy left the girls in giggles as she was blindfolded ready for the rest of her evening
Trying hard: Mario showed how much effort he was putting in by taking her to an ice rink, where she had to shoot a goal to win a special gift
But he also let down his guard further when he was surrounded by his pals come the evening during a lads' night in.
The boys chastised him for trying to halt their night by going to pick up Sam from the other girls in the bar.
Suggesting things weren't right he then had a dig saying he expected her to snap at him.
Joey then started to cry as the boys watched on not knowing what to do, before the visibly upset club promoter whimpered: 'I'm in love with her, what am I supposed to do'
Romantic: He put a load of candles on the ice before letting Lucy have her brand new pair of Louboutin heels and declaring his love for her
Happy again: The pair called off their engagement last week but looked more loved up than ever on Wednesday's episode
Although there was one romance back on track in tonight's episode in the shape of Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone.
They called their engagement off last week and Lucy was happy to show off her bare engagement finger still complete with a tan line to her friends.
She told them: 'I'm happy, I don't think I ever want to get married… We've come out the other end and we're loads happier.'
Getting ready: Earlier in the evening Jessica had been looking forward to her night out as she chatted with pals Sam and Billie Faiers
… But while she was wanting to spend more time with Ricky, he was busy telling Little Chris he needed more boy time
And it was down to Mario's mum to drum some sense into her son over the state of his relationship with Lucy.
At the start of the show she lectured him: 'I know it's different but you've got sisters… if any of their boyfriends did what you're doing you'd go mad. Why are you doing it to Lucy She's lovely.
'You're going to ruin it… I think deep down you've got to show her some more respect. Deep down you need to grow up a bit.'
Pink party: Elsewhere in the show, Debbie Bright held a bash to mark Breast Cancer, inviting Gemma Collins, Bobby and Charlie along
Oops: But there were more clashes as Dannii then showed up, much to the dismay of Bobbi who ended up shouting at her and leaving
And it seemed to do the trick as he the interrupted the girls' meal to put on a blindfold and whisk her away for a surprise.
A stunned Lucy then opened her eyes to discover she had been taken to an ice rink, where she struggled to skate to the middle of the ice.
Mario then set her a task where she had to score a goal in his net to win the lavish prize sitting by them in a bag.
On her second try she scored the goal and was delighted to see Falcone had treated her to a brand new pair of Louboutin heels.
But she was even more delighted when he told her that he'd be more upset to lose her than all of the 'flash' things in his life, to which she kissed him and declared her love to him once more.
