Kim Kardashian is clearly being given a helping hand in the fashion stakes by her new boyfriend, and this time she has struck gold.
At the BET awards last night, the reality star stepped out in Tom Ford's coveted backless, zipper dress in startling white to match Kanye West's all white ensemble.
And while, Kim certainly looked every inch the sartorially savvy A-lister, she was not the first to sport the provocative frock following Jennifer Lawrence's lead in March.
Black or white The reality star sported the design at the BET awards but Jennifer Lawrence was ahead of the curve stepping out in the revealing number for a Paris premiere of Hunger Games in March
The Hunger Games star was the first to don the slash-backed, straight necked sheath to the Paris premier of the movie.
Pairing it with red lips and gold shoes to echo the zipper, the young actress looked nothing like the child she played in the movie.
Style icon, Kate Moss, also wore the fall 2012 creation in an editorial shoot shot by Terry Richardson for Harper's Bazaar's June/July issue.
But while the slender, blonde screen siren wore the black version, Kim rocked the dress in white to accentuate her olive skin tone and brunette mane.
The choice to wear a designer as exclusive as Ford and as respected by the fashion elite is probably attributed to West's influence on her wardrobe which has recently included more monochromatic pieces.
The dress is part of a collection that was much-hyped in the lead up to the collection's private unveiling at the end of March.
With curves like Kim's, such a revealing outfit may have been considered a risky option but the reality maven's bare, toned back complimented a more demure front side that was cut high to the neck.
Accessorising minimally, the star wore delicate gold heeled sandals and natural-looking make-up.
In fact, sitting a couple of seats down from Beyonce in a lime green silk gown, Kim looked comparatively sophisticated.
