Viewers have reacted with outrage after a mother on TLC's hit series Toddlers & Tiaras encouraged her four-year-old daughter to pose with a fake cigarette on stage.
Channeling Sandy from Grease in a leather motorcycle jacket, the youngster performed her pageant routine with a thin cylinder, resembling a roll of tobacco, held firmly between her lips.
'Don't forget to smoke,' her mother cooed from sidelines as several audience members, including panellists, expressed their distaste.

Controversy: Four-year-old Destiny seen holding a cigarette
'Destiny has a cigarette – what is she thinking!' one of the judges exclaimed.
However her mother Lisa remained unperturbed stating that, just like the character from Grease, her daughter was using the cigarette to look 'cool'.
'Sandy comes out and throws down a cigarette so Destiny’s going to do that.
'We feel like that’s a part of acting and it’s part of the routine so we’ve added it in there and I believe she will do just fine with it.
'You know Sandy was a good girl, she didn’t smoke either but she used it for image,' she said.

Lisa also reassured viewers that the cigarette was not real and she would 'definitely not give my child a real cigarette'.
However immediately after the episode aired viewers took to Twitter to show their disapproval.
LexieKachalla said: 'This mom on Toddlers and Tiaras had her daughter put a cigarette in her mouth. #whatswrongwithyou.'
While Reneee_13 sarcastically remarked: 'A four year old with a cigarette on #toddlersandtiaras. Such great parenting.'
Despite judges deducting points for use of an 'inappropriate prop' Destiny still won Personality Supreme.
