One woman down! The Saturdays perform without Una Healy as fifth singer presents new sports entertainment show
01:01 GMT, 18 June 2012
The Saturdays took to the stage in Stoke tonight with all their usual flair, showing off their figures in tiny silver dresses as they belted out their hits.
However all the gusto in the world couldn't disguise the fact that there was something markedly lacking in their performance.
The group was one member short, with Una Healy nowhere to be seen.
The fifth singer was busy filming new sports entertainment show Let's Get Gold.
One down: Saturdays Mollie King, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White and Frankie Sandford performed in Stoke tonight, but Una Healy was nowhere to be seen
Mollie King, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White and Frankie Sandford carried on as if nothing were different, but Una's absence could hardly go unnoticed.
None of the girls gave any hint as to why Una was missing, with all keeping schtum on their Twitter pages as to why she didn't show.
Una is acting as a judge on ITV's forthcoming Let's Get Gold, on which local sports teams will compete to win a 100,000 prize as they show off their prowess in the run up to the Olympics.
She will be joined by Andrew Flintoff, Rio Ferdinand, and Martine McCutcheon on the panel, and Vernon Kay will act as host.
Otherwise enganged: Una Healy was busy filming new sports entertainment show Let's Get Gold alongside Rio Ferdinand
Una, 30, tweeted this morning: 'Just arrived at Aberdeen airport the weather is Baltic! What's going on #crapsummer'
The new mother's busy schedule is clearly taking its toll, as she also tweeted earlier today: 'And a very special Happy 1st Fathers day to my fianc @ben_foden Aoife and I miss you so much it hurts:( sending huge love from us both xxx'
Thankfully it seems the girls managed to pull off a great show despite being a member down.
Mollie posted on Twitter afterwards: 'Great crowd at Stoke tonight!! LOVED it! Thank you Peterhead last night for staying out in the freezing cold with us! Have u warmed up yet'
Gave it their all: The group carried on as though nothing was different, but Una's presence was missed
Strutted her stuff: Mollie flicked her hair about enthusiastically as she belted out hits
Little bashful Rochelle looked slightly uncertain as she busted a move on stage
Rochelle tweeted: 'En route home from a GREAT gig in Stoke…have tomorrow off but NEED to pack as I'm off again on Tues…'
'Thanks to every1 that came out to our gigs this weekend and braved the weather! #teamsats '
Meanwhile Vanessa and Rochelle are preparing to go to Africa to raise awareness for Comic Relief on Tuesday.
Successful evening The foursome certainly appeared to think so, and all tweeted as such after the show
Thrilled: Frankie seemed delighted with the concert, tweeting afterwards 'Good times had by all this weekend!!!'
Vanessa tweeted tonight: 'Yes me and
@RochelleTheSats are going to africa on tuesday for comic relief, I'm so
excited to be apart of this, I have always wanted to go!'
She added: 'Thank god @RochelleTheSats is the organised one she already has the mosquito sprays to bring! I'm sooo sharing a room with her haha'
Rochelle wrote on her page: '@VanessaTheSats and I are going to Africa with Comic Relief for a week '
'I think it should be a really inspiring trip I have no idea what to expect..I'm glad to be raising awareness x' she continued.
