Sparkle and shine: Rachel Zoe has debuted her first ever jewellery collection – full of glamour and art deco statement pieces
Rachel Zoe has debuted her first ever jewellery collection, full of glamour and Art Deco statement pieces infused with her signature Seventies style.
Available exclusively at Neiman Marcus, the 14 karat gold plated collection features necklaces, cuffs and earrings encrusted with
Swarovski crystals, colored quartz, and black and cream enamel.
Ranging in price from $195 to $650, the stylist-turned-designer told the Los Angeles Times: 'It's fancy but it's not…. I've never been subtle.'
At the collection's launch, a $420 Wonder Woman-like cuff in yellow gold, black enamel and diamante stones sits next to gobstopper-sized cocktail rings with
jade-colored stones; Lucite link collar necklaces, and dangling black and gold fringe earrings.
The 40-year-old who has been a self-confessed 'fashion-obsessed stylist' for 18 years said that the transition into designing was a 'natural progression'.
She told Racked: 'When I finally started working on it, the inspiration
She added that her collection is 'for the effortlessly chic girl
that loves to look glamorous but still wants to have fun.'
customers a taste of how she envisions glamour, at a more accessible level, she said: 'People
want fun things that they can wear with jeans and a T-shirt and make
their look that much better, which is why each piece has a lot to it.'
She admitted that her debut collection is
a tightly edited first
launch, explaining that it will get bigger with each season.
However she promises the
design will always remain true to the Rachel Zoe aesthetic.
'My ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags and jewelry are always going to have
that '60s and '70s undertone, but with a modern touch and a
reincarnation every season,' she said.
'I'll always bring new pieces in, but the
pieces that people love will remain core'.
