A blushing bride who serenades her husband-to-be, while walking down the aisle, has become an instant internet hit.

Wearing her strapless white gown, and a thin veil draped over her head, Marie Carr belts out Christina Aguilera's The Right Man in the YouTube hit.

The Connecticut resident told Inside Edition last week: 'I wanted him to know how much I loved him, and how perfect he is to me. I thought the best way to do that would be to sing to him as I walked down the aisle.'

Though Carr married her husband in October 2011, the video from her wedding just started to go viral this week.

While many viewers have called the video, uploaded by Petite productions, a promotional hoax for the videography services company, Ms Carr insists it is real.

She explained that her dad died when she was a teenager, and because she had no one to walk her down the aisle, she decided to go it alone, singing a love song as she went.

She said: 'It was so hard to keep it together, but it was so easy to walk towards the love of my life.'

The lyrics to Right Man appear to perfectly fit in with the bride. They read: 'I'm all made up today, a veil upon my face, but no father stands beside me to give this bride away.'

Her husband, Devin, said he was blown away.

'It was amazing. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
