A faceless hipster artist is boldly selling a T-shirt inspired by Kanye West's Air Yeezy sneakers for a jaw-dropping $90,300.
Known only by name, elusive designer Wil Fry, created the tee in a frenetic pattern of Platinum Yeezy 2s following the enormously hyped launch of the shoe last month.
But despite the hefty price tag, visitors to his page can also make an offer if they don't have access to quite so much cash.
Polyester costs: Designer Wil Fry is selling his Air Yeezy T-shirt for $90,300 on eBay
Fry appears to be poking fun at the Air Yeezy phenomenon by pricing his limited edition
design at just a snippet more than the cost of the first pair of coveted
sneakers to hit eBay for $90,000.
With a devoted following of only 150 Twitter fans, the daring designer has already drawn no less than 50 bids for the exclusive item.
Highest end: The artist and designer is also inviting interested parties in his T-shirt to submit their best offers though non so far have been accepted
Original: Kanye West's Air Yeezy 2 in Platinum is reported to be the inspiration for the T-shirt
It is hard to tell from the sale history what the bids have been like but with 48 of them declined and only two pending response, it would seem that the artist has yet to receive anything satisfactory.
Creator: Kanye West wears his own design last month
His followers though are no less enthusiastic for it, however.
'Dude did it again with the Yeezy tee,' wrote one on Twitter.
He added: 'So simple it's ironic yet something that is groundbreaking! shoutout from Australia!'
This isn't the first time Wil Fry has found himself in the spotlight for a quirky design either.
His last T-shirt, a print made up of scores of high end clothing labels, was a hit among sartorial satirists.
Challenging the notion of branding and copyright infringement, he sold the T-shirt covered in the likes of Chanel and Dior logos for a mere $30 just to make a point.
Not much is known about who exactly Wil Fry is.
What can be gleaned from his presence on the web, he spends time between New York and Sydney, Australia and has a good sense of humour.
In anticipation of the release of West's second line of sneakers, eBay vendors were offering pre-orders of the shoe for astonishing prices.
Launched in June, the sneakers only cost $250 retail but no doubt sold out in a matter of minutes.
