If Target wanted us to notice its mid-season sale, they now have our undivided attention.
In a recent ad for the company, which features a happy-looking family wearing on-sale fleece tops and tracks pants, lies a Photoshop fail of epic proportions.
Before the Target Australia ad went to print, no-one seemed to notice that the dad in the cozy family looked as if he was posing with Thing in an episode of The Addam's Family, with one hand too-many.

The offending extra hand sits on mum's shoulder, in what looks like an attempt to make the idealised family appear even more close and cozy than we already think they are.
Somewhere along the line the company must have changed its mind, and then neglected to proof the ad before it was approved.
Taking the PR high road, however, the company is using the Photoshop fail to its advantage, posting the image on its own Facebook page with a we-can-laugh-at-ourselves caption.
Notorious: Victoria's Secret is famous for its ongoing Photoshop of horrors, including this ad where the model has lost part of her thighs
Target wrote: 'We couldn’t help but have a laugh this morning
when we discovered something not quite right about the front cover of
this week’s catalogue!
'Let us know if you can spot it. One thing is for
sure, an extra helping hand always comes in handy!'
With nearly 900 'shares' on Facebook, Target couldn't have hoped for a better promotion of this week's mid-season sale.
