Dogs are said to be man's best friend, and now they could be our best dieting buddies too.
Super-slimmer Lindsey Evans was inspired to lose a colossal 15 stone after her dog Millie lost almost half her body weight on a crash diet.
Before the doggy diet Lindsey, 39, loved sharing her favourite snacks of chocolate, crisps and biscuits with her beloved pooch, who was a rescue dog and almost starving to death when Lindsey found her.
But sharing too many tasty treats meant both of them soon ballooned to unhealthy weights, with Lindsey tipping the scales at 25 stone and Millie weighing in at 9 stone, almost twice her 'healthy' weight.

When Millie, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, needed a leg operation vets were shocked at the dogs size and immediately put the 11-year-old dog on a crash diet.
And after Millie reached her target of five stone, Lindsey realised it was her turn to cut out the calories.
She joined her local slimming club, Slimming World, in 2012 and every time she felt tempted back to the chocolates she looked to Millie for inspiration.
She said: 'I thought if my dog Millie can do it so can I.

'We were both vastly overweight but together we have lost almost 20 stone.
'I think we both deserve a pat on the back for that.'
Lindsey, of Neath, South Wales, admitted she was killing Millie with kindness by giving her tidbits night and day.
And health problems meant that neither of them could exercise regularly.
Lindsey said: 'We had a lot in common because I was had rheumatoid arthritis so I was struggling to walk.
'I didn’t exercise Millie because I couldn’t.'
'I am quite severely disabled and I
always just assumed that without exercise I could never lose weight, but
Millie couldn't walk far either because she has bad legs, and once I
saw her lose weight just through her diet I knew I could do it too.
Today Millie is half the dog she once was after shedding five stone on a healthy diet.
And Lindsey has now hit her target weight of 10 stone thanks to Millie's motivation and the slimming club teaching her about good nutrition and eating healthily.
She said: 'Apart from not being able to
exercise, I have an under-active thyroid, which makes it really difficult to lose weight.
'So I completely changed my diet – I virtually halved my food. I didn’t eat crisps, chocolate or bread, no sugar and no fat.

'I have extreme obsessive compulsive disorder so any change in my life is very scary for me.
'But I am really proud of what I have achieved. I have reached my target weight and I am determined to stay there.
'My motto now is if I don’t put the food in, I won’t put the weight on. I’m sticking to that, definitely.'
After helping Millie recover from the leg operation Lindsey is now waiting to have an operation on her arthritic knee.
Lindsey said: 'Losing the weight has changed my life but i wouldn’t have done it if Millie hadn’t shown me the way.'
Arlene Smith, who runs the Slimming World class in Neath where Lindsey still goes each week to maintain her new weight said: 'Lindsey’s wight loss has been fantastic.
'If you look at the before and after pictures, it’s an incredible transformation.'
