He confessed he had been struggling with it all week, but Louis Smith needn't have worried.
The Olympic star managed to pull off the infamously difficult dance routine from the movie Dirty Dancing during Saturday's Strictly.
Looking like a modern day Patrick Swayze, Louis performed the iconic lift with his dance partner Flavia Cacace perfectly.

The gymnast even managed to physically resemble the 80s heartthrob as he made his way across the ballroom displaying some fine hip movements.
His dance partner Flavia was dressed in a pink dress which looked like the outfit Jennifer Grey wore in the 1987 hit film.
The pair had been training all week in order to perfectly recreate the classic dance routine that still makes women all over the world melt.

Though being an Olympic medal winning gymnast may have been an advantage for Louis, as the lift requires some serious arm strength.
And the pair definitely succeeded as they received a standing ovation from the Strictly studio audience.
Viewers at home were also left impressed by the 23-year-old's moves. 'How can you not love Louis's hip action! 10 from me #strictly,' one thrilled fan wrote on Twitter.

Most of the judges enjoyed the smashing performance as well, with Bruno Tonioli said he thought Louis was 'smooth' during the dance.
Craig Revel Horwood was most impressed, calling Louis moves 'contained, simmering and understated'.
However, Len Goodman was very strict on the young gymnast. Despite called the lift 'excellently well', he did have a few criticisms.
Well done! Tess Daly was also impressed with the performance
'It was timid': Not all the judges were equally impressed with Louis and Flavia's take on Dirty Dancing
Oh Len: The dancing duo did end up with a great score
'I thought it was a little timid,' he said.
His remark was met with loud booing noises from the studio audience.
However, despite Len's disappointing mark, the Strictly couple did receive a very high score of 30 proving they're still in the race.

The 23-year-old, who won silver and bronze at this summer’s Games, and Flavia are currently joint top of the judge’s leaderboard.
But it took some hard work for the dancing duo to stay on top.
Photos released from rehearsals show on Friday saw them rehearsing the well-known scenes in which Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman, played by Miss Grey, is put through her paces by Swayze’s Johnny Castle.

And despite being tipped by the bookies to win the show, Louis said before that he did not feel like the favourite.
Speaking a few weeks ago before the first live show, he said is learning like everyone else.
He said: ‘I am learning the cha-cha-cha at the moment and it’s really hard work because it’s so quick.
'I haven’t quite nailed the routine; it’s not realty my dancing skill set.'
