Darcey Bussell has signed a 100,000 deal to replace Alesha Dixon on the judging panel of Strictly Come Dancing, it has been claimed.
The 42-year-old ballerina, who previously appeared on the panel for a brief period three years ago, is reportedly set to temporarily relocate from her current home of Sydney, Australia, for the role.
It is believed that mother-of-two Darcey took some persuasion by the BBC before agreeing to the role, left open after former judge Alesha agreed to move to the Britain's Got Talent panel on ITV for 300,000.

New role: Darcey Bussell has apparently signed a 100,000 deal to replace Alesha Dixon on Strictly Come Dancing
A source told The Sun: 'Darcey is a living legend as far as dancing is concerned – and she is just perfect for Strictly.
'She took some convincing as it means uprooting and being in cold, wet and windy England for four months instead of sunny Sydney.
'But she said the Strictly job is probably the one thing that would bring her back. We’re delighted to have her on board.'

Differing style: Darcey also joined opera star Katherine Jenkins for show Viva La Diva in London in 2007
According to the newspaper, Darcey saw off competition
from stars including ballroom dancer Karen Hardy and choreographer
Karen Bruce for the sought-after judging position.
Despite still being one of the most highly-regarded ballet dancers in the world, Darcey admitted before taking her position on the panel three years ago that she was somewhat limited when it came to other types of dancing.
She said: 'People think, when you've been a professional dancer all your life, that you're going to have tried every sort of style, and I kind of felt embarrassed that I'd never ever tried ballroom dancing.
New role: Alesha is now a judge on Britain's Got Talent with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams
'I mean, I muck around in nightclubs maybe after a performance, with Carlos Acosta, and I love watching tango, but generally I've never had time to dabble in other styles.'
Darcey is said to be joining the panel when the show returns to screens this September.
