'We all like to have romantic sex, but…': Sofia Vergara slips into racy lingerie as she reveals why she's 'more fun' in the bedroom

She is usually seen parading her curves in an array of form-fitting gowns and frocks.
But Sofia Vergara has dared to bare more in a sizzling new shoot for men's magazine Esquire.
The 39-year-old Colombian actress slips her famous voluptuous figure in an array of lacy black basques and sheer silk teddies.

The Modern Family star also takes a walk on the wild side by finishing off the sultry look with a pair of animal print stilettos.
The spotlight is firmly on her intimates in the shoot, with the TV star wearing either just a pair of hooped earrings or diamond studs as accessories.
Her hair is styled in a sexy tousled bed head style and she wears natural make-up.

In an accompanying interview with the magazine, Vergara advises on what American men should know before approaching a Latina woman in a sexual way.
'I guess at the end of the day, all women like to be appreciated and treated with respect and kindness, she says.
'We all want to have sex in a romantic way. But with a Latina, you're going to have more fun.'
When it comes to her figure, Vergara adds that all Colombians are meant to be voluptuous and embrace their curves.

'…well, in Colombia everybody's very voluptuous and you're supposed to be. You don't want to be skinny when all of your cousins are mermaids. You grow up thinking that's how beauty is,' she says.
She also talks about how her boyfriend Nick Loeb reacts to her fiery temper.
'…Nick wonders how I can get really mad and scream, then turn around, do something, come back, and forget that I was mad,' she says.
'The first time it happened, he thought, This woman is insane. One time I was screaming with my sister. Then the next day, I told him I was having lunch with her. He said, “How You were just fighting with her!”'
Recently Vergara revealed to In Style magazine that she was thinking about freezing her eggs so she can have a child with Loeb as she approaches 40.

The model and actress already has a grown-up son from her first marriage to her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez in the early 90s.
But she has been in a serious relationship with Nick since 2010, and is clearly hoping to add to her family with the environmental businessman.
Vergara told In Style magazine: 'I guess I am going to think about freezing my eggs.'

And it is clear from the way she talks about the entrepreneur, whose father is a former US ambassador, how smitten she is with him.

Talking about why she was first attracted to him, she told InStyle: 'The most important thing was that he was very handsome.
'But he was also very funny, talking s*** to me like a normal person.'
The duo have already been through a lot together, and Sophia helped nurse him back to health following a serious car crash in 2010.
But that is not the only trauma she has had to come through in her private life.
Her brother Rafael was kidnapped and killed in 1998 in her homeland.
She had already moved from Colombia to the U.S. at the time, and relocated some of her family to live with her in Miami.
And the star, who was named AskMen's most desirable woman of 2012, credits them for helping her through tough times.
She added to InStyle: 'You can't just sit in your house and think about the tragedies.
'That's when people get depressed and their lives stop.'
And she also joked about how she thought life was over at 40 when she was younger.
Talking about her age, she said: 'I don't really care, but doesn't that sound hideous
'I remember thinking when my mum was 40 that she was already done.'
