Seeking help: Sinead O'Connor, seen here earlier this month, is checking into hospital to be treated for depression
Last week she made a cry for help and said she was in desperate need of some psychiatric help.
And now Sinead O'Connor has taken some important steps in getting herself better as she prepares to check into hospital to help her overcome depression.
The singer took to her Twitter page this evening to announce that she won't be tweeting for a few weeks.
She wrote: 'Gonna be off radar for a few weeks. But will be back. Worry not.'
She then responded to some of her fans that had asked why, and said: 'I'm going to hospital. Treatment for depression. Not at all well. But they will put me back together quick.

And she said was fine and didn't want anyone to be concerned, adding: 'Don't want anyone worrying. Should only worry if a depressed person DOESN'T go hospital. all will be well. Just little time.'
It's been a very tough time for the star who got married, separated and then reconciled with her new husband, only to split from him again.
She tied the knot with counsellor Barry Herridge in Las Vegas on December 8 after dating him for four months, after Barry responded to a plea by unlucky-in-love Sinead asking for potential suitors to come forward.

'And slowly since we were married I
became very ill as result of what was done to my husband and I was
unable to cope. And became depressed.'
The result of which forced her to seek help via her Twitter page again.
The Nothing Compares 2 U singer began her series of odd Tweets by claiming that Ireland is a 'VERY hard place to find help in.'
'Does any1 know a psychiatrist in dublin or wicklow who could urgently see me today please im really un-well…
