Competition to be top dog on The X Factor is pretty fierce.
Last year, viewers saw Take That frontman Gary Barlow and veteran judge Louis Walsh battle it out week by week with witty gags and harsh criticism in a bid to fill Simon Cowell's shoes.
However, the SyCo boss now deems Tulisa Contostavlos as leader of the pack for this year's series.
Head judge: Tulisa has been given the title of top dog by Simon Cowell
The music mogul tweeted: 'I understand Louis & Gary are squabbling as to who is head judge..since @OfficialTulisa won last year, she is the reigning head judge.'
The 23-year-old who made her debut on the show last August and was a huge success in her first series, mentoring the winning act Little Mix.
It has been widely reported that she is set to make a return this year and with Simon's recent Twitter revelation it appears that is set in stone.
Last month, a source told The Sun that Cowell was 'conscious' of the hard time the that former N-Dubz singer had had after a sex tape which she featured in was leaked.
Top boss: Simon has been rooting for Tulisa despite her sex tape scandal
'He’s conscious of the fact she’s had a rubbish time recently with the sex tape thing so he figures getting a new deal sorted will be one less thing for her to worry about.'
The source added: 'Tulisa is in line for a decent bonus. She proved herself on the show and did a great job with Little Mix last year.'
To add to that on the April 5, Tulisa tweeted, 'X FACTOR OPEN AUDITIONS THIS SATURDAY LONDON O2 ARENA!'
Despite all the tell tale signs that she will be back on the judging panel this summer, a spokesperson for the Young singer had not officially agreed to return.
Speaking to the MailOnline, the spokesperson said: 'Tulisa has not yet officially signed the paperwork to confirm she will be joining the X Factor.'
Tulisa's little muffins: The former N Dubz singer made history with her showing on the X Factor when Little Mix became the first girl band to ever win the talent competition
Pressing on, tomorrow she will take centre stage on Cowell's other hit TV show, Britain's Got Talent to perform her debut single.
Excited, she tweeted: 'What a week, just in rehearsals 4 BGT! Reunited with my dancers! Weeeheeyy'.
Yesterday whilst speaking on Real Radio North West’s Feel Good Breakfast, the former N Dubz starlet revealed how she wooed Cowell and managed to get a seat on the panel last year.
She said: 'I was really cheeky. I got him a T-shirt – made sure it was a white V neck – and I printed a picture of his face on the front and (it) said “The Male Boss” underneath.'
The female boss: Tulisa has made quite an impression on Simon Cowell
'And I said “as the female boss only I can Knight you with this title. So here you go, got you a little present.” Thought I’d be a little cheeky to get in there!
'It worked, he gave me the job on the spot so happy days!'
The flirty approach may have helped her secure the job – but Tulisa recently insisted there's no chance of a romance with her womanising boss.
A recent biography of the music mogul revealed Cowell had an affair with one-time judge Dannii Minogue, and lusted after Tulisa's predecessor Cheryl Cole.
But she's not intimidated by his reputation as a lothario, insisting: 'I don’t think I’d be his type.'
