He's no stranger to beauty treatments but Simon Cowell's latest technique of maintaining his youthful looks is likely to seem unusual to most – the music mogul allegedly enjoys sheep placenta facials.
The talent show judge and record company boss admits to being vain and has previously described wrinkle-reducing Botox as 'no more unusual than toothpaste'.
The 52-year-old is also given vitamin injections as part of his quest to stay healthy and to keep looking young.

Simon's sheep placenta secret was revealed by a beauty therapist from Beverly Hills Lancer dermatology clinic in California which is also reportedly frequented by Victoria Beckham.
While it's unclear if the former Spice Girl requests the same service, it seems Simon is a big fan.
Speaking on British TV show Lorraine, the beautician exclaimed: 'He loves it!'
A spokesperson for the mogul was not available for comment earlier today.

of unusual and expensive therapies in the past and regularly researches
the latest beauty trends.
A source tells the Daily Mirror: 'Simon is forever trawling the health and beauty market, looking for all the latest fads.

massages, but after reading rave reviews about placenta facials, decided
he had to give them a go.
'He reckons they take years off his complexion, and give him back the shine and joie de vivre long hours and smoking take away.'
The X Factor judge will need to clear space in his busy schedule to receive the treatment which is not usually a quick process.
Simon's skin must be exfoliated for 30 minutes at the beginning of the process and a bright LED light is directed at his face to open his pores.
A beauty professional then applies the placenta which is mixed with 24 carat gold flakes and comes in the form of a gel.
