She graduated from the same prestigious college that produced design greats like Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Stella McCartney, yet Savannah Miller's previous foray into a fashion line was best known for the input of her style icon sister, Sienna.

Despite Savannah's undeniable design credentials, attention surrounding the pair's Twenty8Twelve label was focused firmly on her famous sibling, and continued to be so until the sisters stepped down as co-creative directors of the brand earlier this year.

Now, after unveiling her first solo collection, Savannah has told how she is finally ready to emerge from Sienna's shadow, declaring: 'I've been hiding behind my sister for long enough'.

Her first project since cutting ties with Twenty8Twelve after six years in January, Savannah said her eponymous collection was a complete departure from the collaboration with her actress sister.

'This is so different, this is really me,' she told Vogue.

Adding that it was time to pour her heart and talent into a project that was exclusively hers, she said: 'It was really time to stand on my own two feet.'

Described as individual, wearable, and affordable, the Savannah collection features wardrobe essentials like super soft t-shirts, skinny jeans and simple dresses in a mostly muted palette, as well as a small, all black collection of shoes and boots.

While the sisters are no longer working together, Savannah's new collection incorporates elements certain to appeal to Sienna's signature style, and the Gus jeans and Tabitha ankle boots are likely to be top of the new mum's Christmas list this year.

As is befitting the girl who graduated with a first class degree in knitwear from Central St Martins, Miller has also included chunky knit jumpers perfect for the winter months ahead.

The range starts at 19.95 for a skinny
black belt, rising to 35.95 for a t-shirt and 175.95 for
the grey James coat.
