But Sarah Harding is battling her demons with sessions at the gym.

The Girls Aloud star sported black leggings and a pair of trainers during her workout in north London; finally showing hints of a returning smile.

She teamed her casual attire with a skeleton scarf and a pink vest top that appeared to have a child's picture of a zebra painted on it.

The 30-year-old star bundled her scruffy bed hair into a ponytail, before hiding beneath a grey hooded sweatshirt.

But from behind the tracksuit top and oversized celebrity shades, lurked a grin that said 'I'm back'.

Harding has suffered a turbulent few weeks after confessing she went to rehab to conquer her alcohol and sleeping pill addiction.

She then ended up battered and bruised following a fight with ex-boyfriend Theo De Vries, during a festive skiing holiday in Austria that turned sour.

At the time she said: 'I'm just glad I survived. My drinking was out of control and I was addicted to sleeping pills. It was an awful combination.

'I just went mental. It took a couple of weeks to sink in and I went off the rails really badly. I've been to hell and back.'

But according to The Mirror, Sarah
Harding is seeking self-therapy by putting pen to paper to write songs
about her turbulent private life.

The blonde beauty is now thought to be heading for solo success; following in the footsteps of Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts.

A source told The Sun: 'Sarah’s been jotting down lyrics and writing songs for the past few months.

'After the year from hell in 2011, she
is now desperate just to get back to her first love – music. She’s had a
few meetings and is getting a lot of interest from labels but hasn’t
decided which one to go with yet.'
