She has championed him from the very start and supported him against a host of negative responses.

But, Nicole Scherzinger has now admitted that she doesn't actually think that Rylan Clark can win the X Factor.

The former Pussycat Doll, who is mentoring Rylan, said that she does not believe the tanned wannabe will make it to the final.

Nicole, 34, told The Sun newspaper:
'He just wants to give the best performance every week and prove that he
is not there as a joke.'

While
she has ruled out any chance of Rylan making the final she predicted
that Jahmene Douglas, Ella Henderson and Union J will all be there.

She is massively backing her star act Jahmene after having got to know him and his family this week.

Nicole
told the newspaper: 'I love him and his mum Mandy, it just kills me to
hear the stories. But that just means, as I told him, that he’s here for
a great purpose.'

Jahmene revealed last week how he
struggled growing up with his vioent father who almost killed his mother
and regularly beat him and his siblings.

Throughout the awful period of his life, however, Jahmene found solace in music and hopes to win X Factor to help his mother.

Nicole's work on X Factor has her based now in London, and the singer is feeling the strain on her relationship with Lewis Hamilton.

Scherzinger said that she wouldn't wish a long-distance relationship 'on anyone'.

The 'Poison' singer has been dating British racing driver Lewis on and off since 2007, and while she admits it can sometimes be tough, she thinks it is worth fighting for.

She said: 'I wouldn't wish a long-distance relationship on anyone, Lewis would say the same. But if it's worth it, you fight for it. We try to see each other as much as possible.'

Lewis has also made appearances backstage at the UK 'X Factor', and has been fully supporting her.

She also denied anything unsavoury ever happened between her and Chris Brown, after they were apparently seen kissing and said they were nothing more than good friends.
