'Freedom of speech… no such thing!' Snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan faces fine over crude Imogen and Ryan Giggs tweet
The world of Twitter may encourage freedom of speech; but it's landed snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan in seriously hot water.
The sportsman now faces a fine after commenting on the Imogen Thomas and Ryan Giggs scandal last month.
On Thursday, he expressed his disgust by taking to the social networking site once again to bemoan his fate and declaring he was 'in trouble'.
Facing fine: Ronnie O'Sullivan may have to cough up his salary after crudely tweeting about the Ryan Giggs and Imogen Thomas scandal
Oh dear! Ronnie has tweeted about his disgust over lack of freedom of speech
Homegrown talent O'Sullivan, nicknamed The Rocket, wrote: 'Oh dear… In trouble with world snooker for the Imogen and Giggs tweets… Freedom of speech… No such thing…'
The 36-year-old, and three-times World Champion, criticised the Welsh glamour girl for going to the High Court to clear her name over claims she had tried to blackmail the Manchester United star over their six-month fling.
Flying high: Despite the affair scandal, Imogen Thomas' fame has soared
At the time, Ronnie tweeted: 'What’s Imogen moaning about I bet she had a great time sucking giggsys c***.'
But it seems fellow snooker star Mark Williams, also 36, thought it was hilarious and tweeted to his friend: 'Pay the fine like a man.'
Meanwhile, Imogen has taken to Twitter herself this week after Natasha Giggs entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on Thursday night.
The Manchester beauty embarked on an eight-year affair with Ryan, despite being married to his brother, and now estranged husband Rhodri.
Imogen wrote: 'Just watching CBB catch up. I love Natalie Cassidy and her task. 'Wag' Nicola McLean is a fake. And as for the other one…'
Moving forwards: Ryan remained with loyal wife Stacey following his infidelities
