'She is fearless': Rihanna's 777 tour stylist describes her as 'inspirational' when it comes to fashion

Rihanna’s fashion choices are followed almost as closely as her turbulent love life, with each outrageous outfit choice being copied worldwide by her legions of fans.
Now the stylist for Rihanna’s incredible 777 tour has praised the singer’s notoriously wild style, describing her as ‘fearless’.
Mel Ottenburg, who is the style genius behind some of the superstars most outlandish looks, had never been tempted to dress a celebrity before Rihanna but said he could not resist the opportunity to work with the singer.

Speaking to Vogue aboard the private
Boeing 777 jet currently acting as flying tour bus for the star and her
entourage, Ottenburg spoke of her ‘killer style’, adding: ‘Her body is
great to dress. She wears clothes so well. I figured it all out pretty
quickly – she's pretty fearless.’

It takes just two hours to complete hair and make-up before a show or shoot and then a further 10 minutes to get dressed.
Ottenburg was a fashion design major at Rhode Island School of Design before becoming the ‘Diamonds’ star's personal stylist.
He now helps her prepare her look for each shoot, performance, video and interview, and designed all of the outfits for the hit-makers current 777 tour.
Ottenburg said he usually prefers to start the styling process with a piece from Rihanna's favorite designers Tom Ford, Kenzo or Givenchy, and build the look up from there.
