Pink frosting all round! DC Cupcakes' Katherine Kallinis learns she is expecting a baby girl at gender reveal party

Pregnant DC Cupcakes star, Katherine Kallinis, has found out that she is expecting a baby girl after she bit into pink icing at her gender reveal party.
The sex of her child wasn't known prior to Sunday's event, and she hired one of her employees to fill dozens of cupcakes with coloured icing in secret.
A guest told Life & Style: 'Everyone, including Katherine, found
out the gender of her baby at the same time by biting into cupcakes
stuffed with either pink or blue buttercream inside.'

The confectionery guru and her lawyer husband Ben Berman are set to welcome a their first child in February 2013.
On discovering its sex, she exclaimed: 'I am so excited to be having a girl. Now I can spoil her
with all things pink and cupcake.'

The party was thrown by Ms Kallinis' sister, and Georgetown Cupcake business partner, Sophie LaMontagne.

Sharon Sacks, who was also behind Ms Kallinis' wedding last September, was the event planner.
Every guest received a Georgetown Cupcake as a favor.
Each one was decorated with a thick layer of white frosting, a small duck figure and filled with pink buttercream.
Guests were also presented with a Judith Leiber crystal version of the baked good, on a key chain.
Ms Kallinis,33, discovered out she was pregnant while filming the third season of her TLC show this summer and waited until October to announce the news.
At the time she told People: 'If I can get through this fall being pregnant, I feel like I can get through anything.
'I'm lucky our mom works with us, so I have a guaranteed babysitter at all times. There's no doubt it's going to be chaotic.'
