Step aside George Clooney, there is a new silver fox in town.
ITV presenter Phillip Schofield has been voted the sexiest celebrity silver fox by women nationwide, knocking American heartthrob George off the top spot.
And it wasn't just Phillip who made a surprise entry into this year's charts, The Only Way Is Essex star and father of Kirk, Mick Norcross came in third place.
Presenter Phillip Schofield has knocked Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney off the top spot and been crowned sexiest celebrity silver fox by British women
When the women surveyed were asked to
specify what they found so sexy about ‘salt and pepper’ celebrity men, over half of the respondents stated that grey hair makes them
look ‘more mature’, whilst just under a quarter admitted that
grey-haired men looked more ‘sophisticated’.
Speaking about the results, Bobbie Malpass, Editor at MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk, who carried out the research said: 'It’s great to see that grey-haired
celebrities are considered as “sexy” by the majority of British women;
the silver fox look is obviously something us ladies like!'
Even TOWIE star Mick Norcross overtook Pierce Brosnan on the list
'Dying your hair can sometimes look
very unnatural and superficial. Men should not be ashamed of their grey
hair as it is recognised as a sexy trait by women all around the UK –
the list says it all!
'On the other hand, it looks like grey hair is only
a trend amongst male celebrities. Women tend to want to cover grey hair
as soon as it appears, but perhaps one day older female celebrities
will learn to embrace it!'
Mitt Romney and old school favourite Gary Lineker also made the top ten list as voted for by British women
