With the Queen approaching her Diamond Jubilee next month to commemorate 60 years on the throne, there will be plenty of celebration parties up and down the country.

But rather than go dressed as her Majesty for the big day, actress Paula Lane decided that she would rather pay tribute to a woman who had a bigger influence on her.

Simon Gregson has disco fever on the set of Coronation Street as his character Steve dresses up in a purple suit
Lane, who plays Kylie Platt in the soap, was snapped on set today dressed as the late singer Amy Winehouse.
Complete with a huge black beehive and tattoos on her arm, Paula was snapped looking just like the tragic star.
Likewise, Simon Gregson also appeared to be channelling a British music icon, strolling around in a groovy purple suit, wig and tinted glasses that looked like something from The Beatles era.

Condu, who plays Marcus was decked out in similar fancy dress to Simon in a groovy suit
She was one of many of the cast who had
dressed up for the episode including Jack P Shepherd who plays her
on-screen husband David.
He looked as though he was dressed as a punk, possibly in tribute to the Sex Pistols, whose anti-establishment song God Save The Queen was released 35 years ago this year.
Ian Puleston-Davies, who plays Owen Armstrong was also seen on set in a black jacket, red scarf round his neck, a stetson on his head and sunglasses on, looking suspiciously like Bono.

her hair in a beehive just like Paula's.
Paula has just confirmed that she has had her contract with the soap extended until next year.
And today it was revealed that she will also star in a special online episode which will focus on Kylie's disappearance from Weatherfield.
Who are you supposed to be Shobna Gulati, who plays Anita, looked very Sixties in her purple coat and horn-rimmed glasses
Kylie went missing after her huge row with David following his salon war with his grandmother Audrey Roberts, played by Sue Nicholls.
The 'Where's Kylie' episode will be screened online after Friday's installment of the soap on ITV at 8.30pm.
Samia Ghadie sported huge hair, but seemed more engrossed in her phone than what was going on around her on set
