Ossie Clarke's iconic 60s designs are back – and set to hit shelves at Debenhams (with an affordable price tag too)

He was one of the most celebrated designers of the swinging Sixties and the go-to name for women looking for a glamorous gown that would make them feel sensational.
Manolo Blahnik for one lauded him, saying Clarke created 'an incredible magic with the body and achieved what fashion should do – produce desire.'
And now, 50 years since he hit the big time Ossie Clarke's flamboyant designs are set to return to the high street once more following a concession deal with department store Debenhams.
Arriving in 45 stores across the UK and online in February 2013, the affordable Ossie Clarke London collection will revive those famous statement prints, vintage designs and fluid, body-skimming cuts.

Sarah Savva, Debehnhams' Director of External Brands, said 'This up-to-date twist on one of the Sixties' and Seventies' most iconic designer names, coupled with great price points, has to be a winning combination.'
Designed by St Martin's graduate Nicholas Georgiou, the 95 piece collection mixes retro glamour with a touch of radicalism and features those flowing sleeves, asymmetric cuts and plunging necklines made famous in Britain in the Sixties and Seventies.
