The Duchess of York has been enjoying the benefits of the Olympic VIP lanes – thanks to Beatrice and Eugenie’s official car.
She and her daughters also managed to get some of the best seats in the house at the athletics on Monday, and were spotted at the velodrome yesterday.
At both events, the duchess was sporting a travel pass that allowed her to hitch a lift in the princesses’ official vehicle.
It has been given special permission to use London’s ‘Games Only’ lanes for the duration of the Olympics, the Mail understands.

Yes! The trio looked overjoyed when Victoria Pendleton took first place
According to insiders, members of the
Royal Family have been awarded so-called VVIP passes for the Games,
giving themselves – and clearly their guests – carte blanche to pick and
choose which events they want to watch.
Indeed, Monday night’s York family outing also included Beatrice’s long-term boyfriend, Dave Clark, and Jack Brooksbank, Eugenie’s current squeeze.
Despite the Duchess of Cambridge's
non-attendance at the velodrome as she was watching yesterday's sailing
event, Victoria Pendleton will be pleased to know she was still being
cheered on by Royalty as Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, along with
daughters Eugenie and Beatrice took to the stands to cheer her to gold.
The mother and daughters wore matching patriotic blue outfits. Fergie opted for a navy blue dress with a light blue and white striped shawl, Bea wore a dark blue three quarter sleeve dress with Eugenie donning a bright blue short sleeve dress with bare legs.
The trio cheered loudly as they watched the cyclists whiz around the track and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their evening at the velodrome.
