Mickey Rourke's luscious brown locks were a distant memory, as the actor displayed a shock of over processed, spiked blond hair drawing attention to his vanishing hairline.

The 59-year-old star was spotted having lunch at the Brasserie on Fulham Road in London.

Dressed in jeans, a black leather jacket, and black T-shirt, Mickey could be seen chatting with a male friend and puffing on a cigarette.

The New York native, currently on UK shores for meetings regarding his role in the Gareth Thomas biopic, looked tired and was a shadow of his former sex symbol self.

Mickey has previously admitted he 'went to the wrong guy' for the plastic surgery procedures performed on his face.

The former Hollywood hunk turned to boxing in 1991 after his movie career nosedived – and claims that the reason he later sought cosmetic surgery was to 'correct injuries sustained from the sport'.

Mickey, who is currently dating Russian model Anastassija Makarenko, made a dramatic comeback with his Academy Award-nominated role in The Wrestler.

While he didn't win an Oscar for the 2008 film, he did take home a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe for his powerful performance.

'I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn't healing properly.

'That was one of the most painful operations, but the worst was haemorrhoids.'
