“I”m done with her”: Noomi Rapace puts The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo behind her as she gets a glamorous makeover
She rose to fame as the new movie talent that wasn”t discovered in Hollywood.
But as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo she was somewhat pigeonholed and associated with that film and that film only.
Now Noomi Rapace has two massive blockbusters out this month that will finally free her of the role that made her.
Model behaviour: Noomi Rapace poses for BlackBook magazine and talks about her darkest role
The 31-year-old spoke to Blackbook Magazine about playing Lisbeth Salander in the original Swedish and Danish version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
On her former dark character Noomi said: “I felt like she lived in me.
“My Lisbeth was my Lisbeth. I gave her my life and my soul for one-and-a-half years, and then I was finished.”
Drop dead gorgeous: The actress tries her hand at modeling with successful results
A new start: Noomi is free of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and purged herself of the role
Dedication: Noomi says she is “done” with Lisbeth and is looking forward to the future
As Noomi posed for a photo-shoot that will reveal a different side to her she talked about how just how much she was involved with the fictional role.
As the film crew and cast celebrated filming the final take of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium series with champagne, she vomited in the bathroom.

Noomi said: “My whole body was just kind of throwing Lisbeth out of me.
“I’m so done with her,” she added.
Howevere, after dedicating a year and a half to the role Rapace felt lost even after purging her body of the dark character.
She added to the magazine: “I was like, I don’t know who I am anymore!”
Roomi has put that part of her life behind her and can currently be seen as a conspiratorial soothsayer alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
Later this month David Fincher unveils his own adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Rooney Mara taking on the tough role.
Together these films will help both propel Noomi”s Hollywood career and close a chapter of it at the same time.
Noomi stars as gypsy Sim in the movie sequel, and said recently that she was welcomed to the franchise by Downey Jr. and fellow lead actor Jude Law.
She said: “It’s kind of being the new girl in the class or something. You can feel that the whole team and everybody has something really good, so it’s like stepping into something where somebody else has made the hard work so you can just fly, in a way. So it’s been a great, fantastic journey.”
She chopped off all her hair and got multiple piercings to play the role of hacker Lisbeth but looked worlds away from her gritty appearance at the London premiere earlier this week.
A tale to two nights: Noomi looked elegant at the premiere for Sherlock Holmes but was worse for wear on a night out at The Box earlier in the week
Lights, camera, action: Noomi on screen with Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Tough girl: Noomi was transformed into a short haired fighter in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

The vintage style shoot can be seen in full with the interview in this month”s Blackbook.
