Charles Saatchi would be forgiven for experiencing pangs of jealousy when it comes to his wife.
The attractive TV cook has won an army of male fans with her hourglass figure and tasty culinary treats.
But the art collector, 68, has revealed that far from being possessive, he is proud of his wife's sex symbol status.
Charles Saatchi is proud of wife Nigella's sex symbol status
In his new book, Be the Worst you can be: Life's too long for Patience & Virtue, Saatchi wrote: 'Who
would want to be married to someone who nobody coveted'
The gallery owner revealed his feelings about his 52-year-old wife when asked if he believes in the Ten Commandments.
The book, out next month, sees him answering around 300 questions posed by journalists and readers.
TV cook Nigella, who often shows off her hourglass figure in fitted tops, has a solid male fan base
Saatchi wrote: '(The Ten Commandments are) An overrated lifestyle guide,
unsustainable and largely ineffective, only succeeding in making people
confused and guilty.
'For example: You shall not covet your neighbour’s
wife, nor his house, nor his servant nor his ox, nor his donkey etc.
was obviously a no-hoper. Coveting is all everyone does, all the time,
'It’s what drives the world economy, pushes people to make a
go of their lives, so that they can afford the executive model of their
Ford Mondeo to park next to their neighbour’s standard model.'
And the art conoisseur has even more reason to be pleased after his wife recently dropped two dress sizes.
Ms Lawson is believed to have gone from a size 16 to a size 12.
The couple have been married for nine years. Nigella is Saatchi's third wife.
