She’s been the face of CoverGirl for the past five years, but now Drew Barrymore is rumoured to be launching her own cosmetics brand.
According to WWD, the actress has created a line of make-up exclusively for Walmart, which will hit stores across the U.S. early next year.
The name of the beauty collection remains unknown.
Own brand Drew Barrymore is in talks to create a make-up range due to launch in 2013
Covergirl: Barrymore's contract with US make-up brand Covergirl expires next year
It is believed that Ms Barrymore’s contract with Procter & Gamble, CoverGirl’s parent company, comes to an end in 2013, although a spokesman for the company declined to give an exact date.
However sources say that she has been working on her own line with one of the world’s leading cosmetics manufacturers, Intercos.
When she signed as a CoverGirl ambassador in 2007, Ms Barrymore said that she wanted to ‘bring myself and my personality into it, as well as some edgy fashion-forward thinking and positivity to it.’
The 37-year-old’s usual makeup look is very subtle. Perhaps we can expect rosy shades of blush, neutral eyeshadows, along with darker lip colours.
This would be her first time venturing into the world of celebrity beauty marketing, following the likes of the Kardashians, Kate Winslet and Dita Von Teese.
She has never even had her own fragrance.
Ms Barrymore was spotted over the
weekend enjoying a family day out in Los Angeles with her husband Will
Kopelman and their one-month old daughter Olive.
