Australian design duo Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke returned to London with a bang last night as they showed their spring/summer 2013 collection to an excited London Fashion Week crowd in South London.
The Kills star Alison Mosshart, Noisettes singer Shingai Shoniwa, Twiggy and Jasmine Guinness were among those who flocked to the Royal Horticultural Hall in South West London for the highly anticipated catwalk show.
And the catwalk was almost as starry as the front row and British models of the moment Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne added extra glamour to proceedings in a variety of dazzling creations including a floor-length sequinned silver gown and monochrome evening dresses with sky high hems.
Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne are expected to walk in all of the big shows at this London Fashion Week
During an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the designers revealed that the collection was inspired by South America.
'The inspiration came from a trip we
did to Peru and Buenos Aires,' Heidi told us after the show. 'It was an
exploration of the genders, men and women. We wanted to balance the feel
of feminine sensuality with the strong male energy.'
The collection, named
Loveshady, was an eclectic mix of black and white cocktail dresses with
folded structures and dramatic white, tuxedo style trouser suits with
strong lines and sleek cuts.
Sharp collars, metal hard wear, corsages, chiffon tails and silver sequins featured heavily throughout the show.
A floor length black and silver

Meanwhile Heidi says she is convinced she is related to the former Miss Middleton.
'She's my long lost cousin,' she jokes. 'We must be related somehow!'
The twosome are also fans of another
British style icon, singer turned designer Victoria Beckham and say they
were impressed by her recent New York Fashion Week shows.
'Victoria Beckham is doing an amazing
job, ' Sarah-Jane says. She has really proved herself as a designer
now, as well as an independent woman doing things for herself. I think
And while it been a while since
they've been in London, Heidi and Sarah-Jane say there was no better
place in the world to unveil the collection.
'We always love coming back to
London,' says Sarah-Jane. 'But at the moment it's even more alive. It's
buzzing and a lot of creative energy is coming from the people.'
'We can't stay away from London for long,' adds Heidi.
The down to earth designers also admit
that while they love it when stars wear their clothes, they love
seeing their designs on everyday women.
'We really love it when girls on the
street, non-famous faces, are wearing our clothes in a different way and
are comfortable doing their thing,' says Heidi. 'That's the best
