Mum-to-be: Peaches is due to give birth on April 24
Pregnant Peaches Geldof certainly knows how to bag herself a freebie.
The daughter of Sir Bob Geldof, who was reportedly caught stealing make-up worth 70 from Boots last year, has been calling in favours from high street stores as she prepares for the arrival of her son.
Peaches, right, is due to give birth on April 24, the birthday of her late mother, Paula Yates.
‘Peaches has had lots of items sent to her from Mothercare and the Early Learning Centre,’ says a friend.
‘She isn’t the face of Mothercare but she has been generous with her Twitter mentions of the chain. She called them for some recommendations as soon as she found out she was pregnant.’
Peaches, 23, engaged to S.C.U.M singer Tom Cohen, recently tweeted: ‘Never thought I would have such epic fun sorting out all babies @mothercareuk bits before he arrives. I played with it myself! x.’
A spokesman for Peaches said: ‘It’s usual for Mothercare to send gifts to my client.’

Gordon and Tana Ramsay are following hot on the heels of the Beckhams in the search for a weekend getaway in Malibu.
The celebrity chef and his wife have
just purchased a 4.3 million five-bedroom home in Beverly Hills – but
now they want a beach house, too.
‘Gordon and Tana have bought a mansion
down the road from David and Victoria but they aren’t stopping there,’
says a Hollywood mole.
Rich list: Chef Gordon Ramsey and his wife Tana Ramsey have recently bought a 4.3million home in Beverly Hills
‘The families are incredibly close and Gordon
loved surfing with David and his boys in Malibu last year.
‘He is determined to do it again this summer. He and Tana are talking about getting their own place in Malibu.’
Moving house can be fraught with difficulties and often sends stress levels soaring – but not if you’re Kate Moss.
The 38-year-old supermodel finally finished refurbishing her mansion in Highgate, North London, last week but left much of the unpacking to her live-in nanny Mary Davidson while she jetted off to Mexico with Topshop tycoon Sir Philip Green to celebrate his 60th birthday.
‘Mary has been overseeing the move,’ says a friend. ‘She has been helping with the unpacking and directing the removal men. She’s 63, so not surprisingly she’s completely exhausted.’
It sounds as if Mary could do with a sunshine break herself.
After his sister Holly’s New Year wedding, could Sam Branson be the next family member to tie the knot
The Virgin heir, 26, was spotted at a jewellers in Notting Hill, West London, and friends believe he could soon propose to girlfriend Isabella Gough-Calthorpe.
‘Sam was poring over the precious gems section,’ says a spy.
Nuptials on the horizon Sam Branson and Isabella Calthorpe attend an after-party celebrating the World Premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 at Old Billingsgate Market on July 7 last year
‘He is mad about Isabella and has told friends she’s the one – it’s just a matter of time before he buys a ring.’
Sam, pictured with 32-year-old Isabella, below, says: ‘We’re very happy. I have been shopping for a gift for Isabella but it’s not a ring.’
Congratulations to society photographer Sam Pelly, who has popped the question to Susannah Lennox, the mother of his two children.
Sam, who took the photos at Holly Branson’s wedding on Necker Island, proposed to Susannah before Christmas, and friends say their wedding plans are coming along nicely.
Sam, 38, is the elder brother of Prince William’s pal Guy Pelly.
