'She is a wonderful person and a good friend': Matthew Morrison denies calling ex-girlfriend Kelly Brook 'not the brightest bulb'
Speaking ill of an ex-girlfriend is never going to go down well – particularly if both of you are in the public eye.
So following yesterday's headline-making news that Matthew Morrison had mocked Kelly Brook's intelligence during an interview, the Glee star has done some serious backtracking.
The actor, 33, took to Twitter today to deny that he said that Kelly was 'not the brightest bulb' during an interview published in the Daily Mirror.

Hinting that perhaps there had been some behind-the-scenes panic from his people, Morrison wrote: 'Wow, woke up to a flurry of emails
regarding Kelly Brook. Don’t always believe what you read. Kelly is a
wonderful person and a good friend.'
Kelly, 32, quickly responded via the same channel, tweeting back simply: 'Thank you Matt,' signing off with a flurry of 'kisses.'
Despite what was printed yesterday, the duo seem to be on good terms following their brief romance in 2010.

Miss Brook, now dating rugby player Thom Evans, appeared hurt by the quotes alleged to have been said by Matthew yesterday. Following their publication, she wrote on her Twitter page: ' 'I've had one motto I've always lived by – Dignity always Dignity (unless your [sic] making someone laugh) xxxx'
A story in the Mirror claimed that Morrison told the paper: 'I once went out with a Brit. I didn’t realise she was such tabloid fodder.'
He allegedly added: 'It was Kelly Brook… she’s not exactly the brightest bulb. We only went on one date.'

The cast of Glee have ranked eighth on a list of best selling digital artists of all time, following their incredible soundtrack success in the charts.

Since 2009, the stars of the show have accumulated over 42 million downloaded songs worldwide and more than 32 million in the US alone.
Columbia Records soundtrack executive Glen Brunman said: 'There has never been anything like Glee. The idea that 58 episodes of a television show can generate sales of 32 million downloads is simply staggering.'
