It's not easy to look wonderful while working out but Marks and Spencer believe they have come up with the perfect solution with a new range of sexy sportswear.
Their 'gym slip' collection is designed to be practical and comfortable while also being feminine and on trend. Rather than having baggy, unflattering clothes for a work out and underwear that's supportive but ugly, the range includes pretty designs with control panels to make the wearer look slim and fashionable.
The collection includes a lacy, lime yoga sports bra and tummy control shorts to hold in the stomach.
Hit the gym in style: Lime, lace yoga bra with high waist tummy control pants, left, and cleavage boosting sports bra with black sheer fabric knickers, right
There's also a cleavage boosting sports bra in black with pink trim for 19.50, available in sizes 32A – 38DD, and high leg thong in black sheer fabric available in sizes 8-18.
The underwear has light control and stay-in-place hems to prevent them riding up. The use of sheer fabric is a fashionable touch but also has a practical purpose – it's a breathable to keep the exerciser cool and dry.
Sportswear can be sexy: Neon lacy bra, 19.50 in sizes 32A – 38DD and high leg black thong 14, in sizes 8-18
Slimming: Black vest with tummy control panel, 17.50
The range will be on sale in January in time for everyone keen to hit the gym to fight the flab and get fit in the New Year.
It's perfect for anyone who is self-conscious about their post-Christmas figure as there's slimming long leggings on sale for 22.50 and cropped leggings for 19.50.
The collection is made from moisture-wicking fabric with additional hidden tummy panels like the black tummy control vest for 17.50 which holds in the problem areas a work out will help banish.
Soozie, head of lingerie design at M&S, said the aim of the range was to encourage women to be more confident at the gym by giving them glamorous outfits to wear that will still allow them to have a productive work out.
She said: 'There's simply no excuse for wearing greying sports bras, as M&S is dialling up the glamour for women wanting to work out in style and boost their confidence at the gym.
'Our new bras come in push up styles and feature flashes of neon with lace overlays to give a fashion forward look whilst still providing great support necessary for the bust during sports activity.
'Breathable mesh panels are designed within the garments so that you can keep your cool whilst working out.'
