Marion Cotillard may be more used to the beaches of St Tropez, but the Hamptons was the location of choice for her latest Lady Dior campaign.
The French actress is the perfect blend of East Coast polish and Parisian chic in the ad, shot on a deserted stretch of sand.
Of course she is not exactly wearing beach attire. One can only wonder how she handled the soft sand in those platform sandals, which were seen getting drenched in seawater in a behind-the-scenes video.

Her dress, a resort 2013 design from Bill Gaytten's last collection at the helm of the label before he handed the creative reins to Raf Simons, is full-skirted in the palest pink, with a lavender-hued layer peeking from the hem.
It is worn with a co-ordinating cardigan in a dusky pink with contrasting green sleeves. The pastel palette is completed by a tiny seaplane soaring overhead – perfectly setting off the bright red Lady Dior handbag.

was shot by photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino. He exclaims: 'The light
is perfect!' in the making-of video, a line that is replayed over clips
of Ms Cotillard looking sensational, even between takes and as she has
her make-up applied.
The actress's Lady Dior ad series, to promote the label's handbags of the same name, have seen her pose in a variety of locations, from a rooftop in Shanghai to the Communist Party headquarters in Paris.

The role also means she can take her pick from Christian Dior's latest collections, and was the first celebrity to be seen in a couture piece from Raf Simons' debut for the label.
The new ad will make its debut in the December issue of glossy magazines from this weekend.
