They are widely considered one of the biggest fashion faux pas around.
And it seems even stars promoting Crocs just aren’t willing to wear them.
Maria Menounos last night attended an event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the foam footwear, but kept her distance from the style that made the brand infamous.

Something more low-key: Instead Maria sported animal print ballet pumps along with her stylish black dress
Instead, the Extra host donned a pair of low-key animal-print ballet pumps from the brand's range.
She teamed her simple shoes with a black asymmetric dress that had a short hemline at the front and long one at the back.
She cinched it in at her tiny waist with a skinny black belt and topped off her look with layers of gold jewellery.

Maria was in New York’s Times Square where she rang the bell at the stock market to celebrate ten years of trade for the footwear brand.

Since finishing fourth on Dancing With the Stars in May, Maria and former partner Derek Hough have been spotted together on a number of occasions.
Over the weekend they rejoined forces to perform one of their strongest numbers – the vampire-themed paso doble – at the 2nd Annual Dizzy Feet Foundation's Celebration of Dance Gala.
However it comes as Derek has recently announced the next season of the show will be his last.
'This season is kind of my swan song. It's my last hurrah,' he recently told USA Today.
