'He is single but we're close friends': Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson reveals why she split with Spencer Matthews

Her relationship with Spencer Matthews ripped apart a long friendship that they vowed was worth the risk.
However, just weeks after Louise Thompson broke Jamie Laing's heart to be with his best friend, her and Spencer have split up but remain friends.
Last week Mr Matthews, 24, was announced as being the new star of Channel 5 series The Bachelor, which surely meant that their tryst was over.

During a neon fashion shoot, the Made In Chelsea brunette revealed that the couple agreed to break up because they want different things.
She told new! magazine: 'Me and Spencer obviously aren’t together, but we’re very close friends and we still talk a lot.'
'He is single. He’s fully single. He wouldn’t be doing The Bachelor if he wasn’t because I wouldn’t allow it if we were together.'

The pint-sized stars seemed to be a perfect picture of love and happiness on the E4 show, but the story wasn't the same off camera.
She said: 'Now that filming’s finished and it’s the summer, I’ve got a lot of plans of my own, so I want to be independent.
'It wasn’t really a dumping thing. It just kind of happened. It was just a good idea. It was a mutual decision.'

Spencer and Louise, 22, had been together for two months but had been on and off for much longer.
She still has strong feelings for the
Sloane Square Lothario and admitted that she would not be happy if he
found love on his new TV show.
isn't even sure if Spencer really wants to have a new girlfriend, and
the whole process of the show happened really quickly.
the break up, the former boyfriend and girlfriend still found time to
take a holiday together to St Barts, with Hugo and Natalie.
If Made In Chelsea ever comes to an end, Louise will not be jumping onto another reality TV show.
She hoped to concentrate on her university studies and added: 'My degree is my priority at the end of the day.'
