Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson has received death threats after allegedly cheating on current boyfriend Jaime Lang.
The love triangle is all the more sour as the third party just so happens to be Spencer Matthews – Jamie's best friend and Louise's former squeeze.
Angry viewers saw the pretty 22-year-old reportedly cheat on her McVitie heir partner during Monday night's episode – which saw the E4 gang celebrating her birthday in Dubai.
Now the Edinburgh University student has been bombarded with hate mail, telling her she is a 'slag' and should 'die in a car crash'.
Won her over: Spencer Matthews launched a charm attack on his ex Louise Thompson during her birthday trip to Dubai
One viewer ranted: 'Why are you alive!! You cheat! Die!!!!!'
While another said: 'Louise Thompson and Spencer Matthews, I hope you die in a car crash.'
In last night's show, Spencer is seen
giving Louise a bracelet for her birthday, saying: 'The timing for what
I'm about to say is pretty inappropriate, but I just realised I want to
spend all my time with you.'
The next day Spencer confessed to diamond heir Francis Boulle that he and Louise had 'hooked up'.
Obviously frustrated by Spencer's admission, Louise took to her personal site to speak out about the abuse, and clarify what happened, saying: 'Anyone that uses the C word on twitter is vile.'
She added: 'I think there's been a big misunderstanding, I did not step on Jamie Laing's heart.'
Distraught: Jamie Laing, Louise's boyfriend, was told the news by another friend that Louise had slept with Spencer while she was away
The messages also infuriated brother Sam, who wrote to her: 'Wow. People are pratts. Love you sis.'
Infamous lothario Spencer, 24, and his ex
Louise were holidaying with Hugo Taylor, his girlfriend Natalie
Joel, Hugo's ex Millie Mackintosh, and Francis.
Jamie, Louise's boyfriend, couldn't join them on the trip due to work commitments.
Heartbreakingly, he had admitted in
Louise's absence to pals that she was the first girl he had really
liked, and that he'd 'gotten to the stage where I kind of now want a
But on Louise's birthday Spencer took her for a late-night drive, which from all accounts ended up in one of their hotel rooms.
Charm offensive: Spencer hired a car to take Louise on a late-night drive on her birthday
Treats all round: Spencer also bought Louise a special bracelet for her birthday
even ignored the fact that he had come to Dubai with another girl,
Sophie, who he broke it off with before the week was out.
Jamie was told the news over the phone by Francis, who had promised to keep an eye on things.
was clear from the outset what Spencer's intentions were, as despite tensions between himself and Jamie, he'd told pal Hugo
previously: 'I still believe I can have Louise whenever I want.'
Upon their arrival abroad, Hugo immediately sensed a shift in mood from Spencer, and asked him: 'What's gone wrong now'
Inappropriate behaviour: Spencer was all over Louise from the minute they landed in Dubai
Spencer replied: 'Things are progressing too quickly with Sophie, I feel like I'm on holiday with my girlfriend.'
to make him see sense Hugo pressed: 'Every guy likes the chase, but how
many girls have you chased You've got Sophie out here, she's cool,
she's pretty, why not just enjoy yourself'
Spencer replied ominously: 'I intend to.'
Joining the girls on the beach Spencer asked Louise: 'How come your boyfriend hasn't come'
Louise replied: 'What boyfriend', to which Spencer replied: 'Jamie.'
Watching things develop: Millie Mackintosh noticed that Spencer was being especially flirtatious
Discussed over cocktails: Louise told Millie 'I don't think Jamie could trust Spencer, but he should be able to trust me as I've said I'm over Spencer'
Louise said: 'Jamie's not my boyfriend'
Clearly pleased, Spencer replied: 'On that note, I'm going to go get a bottle of Rose for your birthday.'
then stepped up the charm attack, even applying sun cream to Louise on
the beach, which even she admitted was probably 'crossing the line.'
Ignored: Spencer forgot about Sophie, right, who he had come to Dubai with, and she ended up spending time with Hugo's girlfriend Natalie
Jamie, who was in London engaged in meetings to kick off his sweet business, Candy Kittens, called Louise on her birthday to send his best wishes.
He said: 'Hey little one. I'm so upset I can't be there for your birthday, come back sooner rather than later. I will see you as soon as you get back.'
Millie and Louise both commented in private on Spencer's attention to Louise, but Louise asserted that she would never do anything, saying: 'I don't think Jamie could trust Spencer, but he should be able to trust me as I've said I'm over Spencer.'
Checked in: Jamie Laing called Louise in Dubai to wish her happy birthday and said he'd see her as soon as she got back
Played along: Louise said that she thought Jamie was sweet to call
However Spencer stepped up his game, even breaking off things with a hurt Sophie during Louise's birthday party.
He then found Louise outside and gave her a bracelet to celebrate the occasion.
Spencer won her over with an emotive speech, saying: 'The timing for what I'm about to say is pretty inappropriate, but I just realised I want to spend all my time with you.'
Warned him: Hugo Taylor told Spencer that he should leave Louise alone
'I can understand you thinking I don't deserve any of your attention. I tried to ignore when you picked Jamie. I know it's really inappropriate timing with your birthday and everything.'
The pair then took of into the night for a drive.
The next day Spencer admitted to Hugo: 'We hooked up.'
Told the gang: Spencer said the morning after 'we went for a little drive and just happened not to come back'
Looking out for Jamie: Francis Boulle had said he'd watch to see whether anything happened between Louise and Spencer on Jamie's behalf
Hugo responded: 'You hooked up with the girl that your best friend is dating. Just to put it into black and white.'
Spencer replied: 'Jamie is one of my nearest and dearest, but I just can't ignore the feelings that I have for Louise this time.'
Meanwhile Millie presented a contrite Louise with a present from Jamie, which arrived for her at their hotel that morning.
Took it badly: When Laing heard the news he responded 'I knew it'
