Celebrity hairdresser Paul Edmonds gives his verdict on the supermodel Karen Elson’s new style — the sharp bob.
British-born Karen Elson has been sporting a show-stopping new do at London Fashion Week.
This razor-sharp, chin-length bob is the haircut of the moment — perhaps because it’s practical and easy to style, yet still chic.

All of the models are having it done, but it looks particularly great on this fiery redhead, as it accentuates her sharp cheekbones and shows off her beautiful long neck.
As well as looking gorgeous, this cut is practical for autumn and winter, as it will help you avoid the dreaded ‘scarf hair’ haystack.

The best way to maintain a super sharp bob is to schedule in
regular cuts, it will look best if you try to get a trim every 6-8 weeks. A good test for how good the cut is, is by how long the bob lasts; with this style it’s all about graduation rather than layering. To give your locks a gorgeous shine towel dry your hair, but don’t be tempted to rub it in, this will ruff the cuticles and leave a more matt finish.Remove the remaining moisture with a light power dry, then, using a Denman brush pull the hair from the left to the right. At the back of the head pull the hair directly back, using a nozzle at the end of your hairdryer for an ultra smooth finish.A good way to know how to section your hair is to keep each section to the width of your brush, about two fingers. Separate using clips, and blow-dry the sections brushing the hair from top to bottom in a c shape.if you like a bit of volume, dry the hair in the opposite direction to the hair’s parting, this will help lift the roots. For an especially sleek look blowyou’re your hair forward onto your face starting at the front and working back.
Following these steps will leave your hair not only looking fabulous, but also feeling great. A salon perfect blow-dry is a great way to start the day.
